how do I find out how much a complete set of baseball cards is worth, and what’s the best way to sell them?
I was cleaning out my garage, and found complete sets of Topps baseball cards, probably from the somewhere in the mid 90s. Still in the sealed plastic. How do I find out how much they’re worth? where’s the best place to sell them? …ebay? … a local comic book/ sports-card store?
Depending on what year they are from they may not be worth much. Most regular issue Topps sets don’t hold a lot of value because all brands in general were mass produced and everyone kept them. If it’s from the right year there may be a couple of good rookie cards in it which would bring some interest on a site like eBay but, it is unlikely you will get what the book value is. If you know the year you can look values up in a guide called Beckett which you can find almost anywhere including Wal Mart. Just make sure you look at the front of the magazine and it says Beckett Baseball because they also put out a magazine that has all the sports in it but they only list newer sets due to space limitations.
