Comic Book Movies $8.63 Superheroes are back! Since the 1970s, the film world has found inspiration in comic books and graphic novels. Now, no summer is complete without a major blockbuster movie based on a comic, including Superman, Batman, Spider-Man, X-Men, Men in Black, Daredevil, and The Hulk. Modern special effects have made large-scale superhero epics possible, while the diversity of the comics being published has made for a wide variety of subjects, as evidenced by Ghost World, From Hell, Akira, and Road to Perdition. This book details 20 key titles, covering every step of the development from comic book panel to feature film frame. It includes interviews with key creative artists about the evolution of the films from the original comics, and speculates about future films. It explains development, production, sequels, and spin-offs, and analyzes the huge success of the Superman and Batman franchises and such misfires as Mystery Men and Dick Tracy. |

New Avengers VS Dark Avengers
Who are your favorite Marvel comic book characters of all time? Why?
I could pick the popular ones like Wolverine, Spider-Man, Iron Man,etc. But I also like the not so popular ones such as;
Deadpool-merc with the mouth, crazy, cool weapons, hope they dont change him too much in the new Wolverine movie
Silver Surfer-not an original name, but pretty cool design, betrays the most powerful force in the Marvel Universe
Well my favorites are Iceman, Shadowcat, and Angel of the X-Men, and Spider-Man.
I like Iceman because of his power, ice is awesome to me for some reason, and because he’s funny and a laid back member of the X-Men.
Shadowcat (Kitty) because she’s always been witty and smart yet pretty and kickass. And her ability to phase through solid objects is unique and not cliched like some other powers.
Angel because he’s tough and stubborn in the comics (wasn’t portrayed that way in movies).
Spider-Man’s always been cool to me because of how he went from being a shy nerd to a hero (yeah cliched but it worked in his case) And the comics and movies always seemed action packed and interesting. Not to mention his powers are awesome.
Some ones I like who aren’t as popular/well known are Polaris (Magneto’s daughter) She’s awesome and rocks green hair and just a cool character in my opinion. And most of the New X-Men.
