comic book women warriors
I need names of strong women?
I am getting a teacup puppy from www.luxpup.ca
Because she’s so tiny I need to offset it with a really strong womans name. Maybe from history, comic books, movies, ancient civilizations…whatever. I need names of goddeses, warriors and asskickers alike.
Please give me a list to choose from. Please add the name and a quick bio.
Not just “I like Sarah Connor” Or something. LIST ME! Hit me with a good list an give me some why’s.
I would have liked to name her “rougue” from x-men comics, but Anna Paquins poor mockery of that role on those movies really weakened that character.
My name is Nadine and I can bench press 80lbs.

The Warriors $9.12 Based on Sol Yurick’’s 1965 novel – Walter Hill’’s film The Warriors electrified movie screens in 1979. Set in New York City’’s near future, The Warriors told the gripping story of a gang forced to flee from the Bronx to Coney Island – while being hunted by every other gang in the city. Thirty years after the release of the controversial film – and following up on Dabel’’s hit Warriors comic book movie adaptation – Dabel Brothers Publishing presents The Warriors: Jailbreak, the eagerly anticipated saga that begins where the film ended. After one of the key members of the Warriors, Ajax, is arrested, the gang’’s new leader, Swan, is forced to mount a risky rescue mission. Meanwhile, Ajax discovers that life in prison can be even more lethal than on the streets, and Rembrandt, one of the youngest Warriors, must learn who to trust and how to survive in the dangerous, unforgettable world of The Warriors: Jailbreak. |

Warriors $10.81 Heroism in battle has been celebrated throughout history, yet it is one of the least understood virtues. What makes some men and women perform extraordinary deeds on the battlefield? What makes them risk their lives in the pursuit of victory? Max Hastings, one of our foremost military historians, has seen combat up close and written about it for decades. In Warriors, he brings us the experiences of fourteen soldiers who fought in the wars of the nineteenth and twentieth centuries. From an exuberant cavalry officer in Napoleon’s army to an abused orphan who in World War II became America’s youngest general since Custer, to an Israeli officer who recovered from a devastating injury to save his country, each portrait depicts a unique and remarkable story. A tribute to soldierly valor and a deeply insightful study of combat, this is an essential book for anyone who wishes to understand what it means to be at war. |

These brave (and sometimes bloodthirsty) women have been too often lost in the male-dominated annals of military history. In this fun, informative, and beautifully designed volume, the true stories of women from around the globe come to life, including the Amazons; Lozen, Apache warrior; Tomoe Gozen of Japan; Queen Boudicca of the Celts; Lakshmibai of India, and the Trung sisters of Vietnam. Fake Warriors $15.99 Fake Warriors lays bare a national scandal: the shocking story of countless men of the Vietnam War era who falsify their military service.
