Black Canary is noted for her martial arts skills and her "Canary Cry" a high powered, sonic scream with the ability to shatter objects and incapacitate villains. Among the first generation of superheroes, she was a member of the Justice Society of America , the first superhero team to appear in comic books. In the 1980s, the character's history was rewritten to make her two entities: Dinah Drake , who took part in Golden Age adventures and married Gotham City detective Larry Lance, and their daughter Dinah Laurel Lance , who has appeared in modern stories and joined the Justice League . Fictional character biography Golden Age history Cover to Flash Comics #92. Art by Carmine Infantino . Black Canary first appeared in Flash Comics #86 in 1947, as a supporting character in the Johnny Thunder feature of the Flash Comics anthology. Initially, she seemed to be a villain; Johnny Thunder was instantly infatuated with her and was reproached for this by his Thunderbolt. However, she was in fact infiltrating a criminal gang, a modus operandi she would follow throughout her career. Buffy the Vampire Slayer: Angel – Theme

Superman vs Sentry:The facts.Solar charged battle.Who wins?

I don’t understand how some people who for some reason jump to the conclusion that Sentry would destroy Superman. It boggles my mind when I read these opinions of Sentry fans. One thing that they keep forgetting is that Sentry is designed was based on Superman.Look at the S for example on his outfit and the whole cape thing. He is just like the others before him.Prime who had a Superman like symbol on his chest minus the big S in the crest then there’s Hyperion who was Marvels homage to Superman. Now Superman is pretty much the prototype of some of the great comic book heroes ever created. My point here is Sentry power is sun based(where do you think they got that idea?) and I know that he has other nifty powers too.Superman body absorbs solar energy. It’s what gives him his powers.Who’s to say that Sentry using his powers on Superman does’nt turn the man into a god like entity.Superman went in the sun and came out stronger.I think that Superman would survive and win. What do you think?

I totally agree with you on this.Supeman does have a chance against Sentry. There are Sentry fans who call him Superman 1 million which is really crazy to me.The guy is’nt even Superman nor will he ever replace Superman as the number 1 iconic comic book legend in the world.Because of Superman we now have some great cartoon creations out there like some of my favorites Mighty Mouse,Underdog and many others out there.Even the Sentry creators nodded their caps to Superman by his costume creation design.I mean adding the S.I guess some people just don’t respect the classic comic book heroes anymore. There was an era where Superman dominated the market when he first appeared. Many people loved him.The first popular super hero with amazing powers. But I guess everyone has their own opinions.Imitation is a form of flattery as they say. This is why people look up to the great ones for inspirations and be as good as their hero.Superman represents the clean cut and straight and arrow hero who fights for “truth and justice”.While others may try and be like him there will always be one Superman.Able to leap tall buildings in a single bound and faster than a speeding bullet.Putting others before himself. He never gives up.This is the character of Superman.
